Owner/Operator John Maffei knew he wanted to do something extraordinary from a young age. Little did he know, his budding desire for culinary would launch him into a whirlwind adventure in the fine dining industry. John, who grew up working in the culinary industry alongside his father, polished his Italian cuisine working in the food capital of the World, Brooklyn, NY. Gaining the experience and operational knowledge required for this ever-evolving industry: John and his brother, Massimo, ventured into the restaurant business with a determination for success and a passion for fine cuisine. Putting his 25 years of culinary expertise to the test, he took a blind leap of faith and moved to Naples, FL to take ownership of a small restaurant, New York Pizza & Pasta.

John recognized the transforming town of Naples as a blank canvas for his culinary style and shortly after re-launching, NYPP became one of the top dining destinations and restaurants in the area. With aspirations to bring his culinary experience that dives deep into his Italian roots and brought right to your event.
